Give Back: SEE Turtles

Project Details: “SEE Turtles’ Too Rare to Wear campaign is working with travel companies and conservation organisations to educate travellers and end demand for turtle-shell products. Hawksbills are not just a pretty shell; they are critical to the health of coral reefs, sometimes referred to as the “engineers of the coral reef.” These turtles primarily eat sea sponges, which compete with corals for space. Project Details: “A dedicated team at Animal Care Egypt provides free veterinary care to thousands of sick and suffering horses, donkeys, dogs and other animals in Luxor each year. Animals receive attentive care at ACE’s walk-in clinic, hospital and stables. A teacher educates children, mostly from families that rely on animals for income, about how to treat their animals. Friends of the Asian Elephant, The Intrepid Foundation’s Project in Thailand

Give Back: Friends of the Asian Elephant

Project Details: “Friends of the Asian Elephant was established to protect and conserve the welfare of elephants in Thailand. FAE’s elephant hospital provides free medical care for sick and injured elephants, as well as education for keepers. Its Mobile Vets Project sends teams to Northern Thailand to diagnose and treat elephants. It also works collaboratively with other organizations to advocate for elephant welfare. [Intrepid is] one of 160 travel companies who no longer offer elephant rides on our trips after learning about abuse.” - the Intrepid Foundation.
